Control panel design and build

PLC, drive and HMI panels designed and built by the engineers who program and commission them. New panels, upgrades to ageing ones, and retrofits that keep your line where it is.

What we build

PLC control panels

Control panels built around Siemens, Rockwell, Mitsubishi, Omron and other PLC platforms, laid out for the people who will maintain them.

Motor control and drive panels

Drive and motor control panels for conveyors, pumps, fans and process equipment, sized for the load and the space you have.

HMI and operator panels

Operator stations and HMI enclosures, designed around how the line is actually run.

Upgrades and retrofits

Replacing obsolete PLCs, drives and HMIs inside existing panels, reusing the enclosure and wiring where they are sound, so the machine stays where it is.

Modifications and extensions

Adding I/O, drives or safety circuits to panels already in service, with the drawings updated to match what is in the cabinet.

One team, from drawing to commissioning

No handover between a designer, a panel shop and a commissioning contractor. The engineers who draw it are the ones who switch it on.

  1. Specify

We agree what the panel has to do, the standards that apply, and who is responsible for what, before anything is drawn.

  2. Design

Electrical schematics, panel layout and parts list, issued for your approval.

  3. Build

Built and wired in our Wetherby workshop.

  4. Test

Checked and function-tested before it leaves, with a factory acceptance test if you want to witness it.

  5. Install and commission

Installed and commissioned on site by the engineers who designed and programmed it.

  6. Hand over

Drawings, parts list and test records, with the PLC and HMI programs backed up and registered in Command Centre.

Every panel leaves with its backup

A panel is only as recoverable as its program. At handover, the PLC and HMI programs are backed up and registered in Command Centre, with the software version and cable recorded alongside, so the panel can be restored years from now by whoever is on shift.

Already running panels nobody can restore? Capture backs up what you have today.

Standards and documentation

Panels are designed and built to the standards that apply to your machine and installation, agreed at the start of the job. For most industrial control panels that means BS EN 61439 for the assembly and BS EN 60204-1 for the machine's electrical equipment.

Every panel comes with its schematics, layout, parts list and test records. Marking and declarations depend on what is being supplied and who places it on the market, so responsibilities are agreed with you before the build.

Common questions

Have a panel in mind?

A full specification or just a problem to solve: either is a good place to start.
