What Total Discontinuation means for you

The manufacturer has finished with the part. You may still find one through surplus or refurbished sellers, or in another site's stores, but that is not a supply chain. When a unit fails, your options are to find one and restore the program onto it, or to migrate the machine.

Both routes start in the same place: having the program. Without a backup, a found spare is just hardware.

Before replacing an HMI

With an HMI, the editable application is at least as important as the screen itself. We would secure the source project, record the engineering-software version, PLC communications, recipes or retained data, and measure the panel cut-out.

Conversion utilities can speed up a migration, but older drivers, scripts, alarms and fonts do not always transfer cleanly. A spare display only protects production if the correct application can be restored to it.

Common questions about the E1101

Is the Beijer E1101 discontinued?

Yes. The E1101 is discontinued and no longer supplied by Beijer.

Can I still buy a E1101?

Not from Beijer. Surplus and refurbished sellers may have stock; check provenance and test before fitting.

How do I back up a E1101?

It is programmed with E-Designer. The exact software version and cable depend on the unit's firmware. ECS records both for every unit it captures, alongside a verified backup.

With a backup, a failed unit is hours. Without one, it is days.

A Capture audit finds every E1101 on your site, takes a backup of each one it can reach, and records the software version and cable needed to restore it. When a discontinued unit fails and a replacement turns up, the program is ready to load.

  • Every device located, photographed and lifecycle-checked
  • Backups taken on the day, with software version and cable recorded
  • Findings report, plus a populated Command Centre
